Third Public Consultation

Third Non-Statutory Public Consultation – Emerging Preferred Route Corridor

The Stage 2 Project Appraisal Matrix has now been completed. Indicative greenway alignments were developed within each of the seven corridors having considered feedback received from our previous consultations. These options have been subject to a further detailed assessment in accordance with the TII Project Appraisal Guidelines and Common Appraisal Framework. This assessment determined the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor, which is being presented at this consultation.

Galway County Council, in conjunction with Galway City Council, now invite the residents of the local area, members of the public and other interested parties to participate in the third non-statutory public consultation for the Galway to Oughterard Greenway, based on the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor. This consultation will run from Friday 12th June 2023 to Friday 23rd July 2023. Your participation in this consultation is important and we would value any feedback which you think should be reviewed by the project team to help inform the development of the project.
